Welcome to Cornerstone Recovery! We are so glad you’re here!

We are an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), levels 2.1 and 1.0, for adults struggling with Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

At The Cornerstone, we do comprehensive assessments, telehealth, individual and group counseling, care coordination, family counseling, controlled substance screening, and a unique collection of groups and workshops.

Our groups provide positive support, encouragement, and feedback from other group members. As a client, you have the opportunity to process how substance use impacts your thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. Topics are processed and applied to your everyday life.

Clients attend primary group and additional workshops according to a schedule determined with the primary counselor while creating the Individual Treatment Plan early in the program. You also choose a time to meet with the counselor for individual sessions. An important task for all clients is to focus on establishing recovery capital during the program by attending regular recovery support meetings, working with a sponsor or mentor, and living according to the Continuing Care Plan.

Our 2.1 Intensive Outpatient program is an intensive substance use disorder treatment for adults. 2.1 clients will attend up to 19 hours of programming each week. The schedule will include one weekly individual session, group for approximately three hours each day, and various other groups and workshops. Clients will be assigned to a morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend group based on availability. Length of programming is dependent on clinical progress.

Our 1.0 Outpatient Program is a less intensive program , sometimes referred to as a step-down or relapse prevention program. It will meet up to six hours weekly and include relapse prevention programming, CPRS and aftercare groups for everyday living, and a variety of other topics. Clients work on Continuing Care Plans with the counselor individually. During this lower-level programming, clients learn where to go for assistance with problems, how to use the group and support systems available to address common sober living situations, and how to live in community.

At Cornerstone, we offer exceptional support throughout the recovery journey. Our groups and workshops – which we are excited to offer – cover a wide variety of recovery topics including: 12-step studies, codependency, co-occurring disorders, relationship foundations, setting and keeping boundaries, Driving With Care (DWC), parenting in recovery, loving my NEW self, budgeting, employment and re-entering the work force, college admission and attendance topics, Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA), referral to mental health professionals, relapse prevention practices, and many, many others.

Our Relapse Prevention Program is a group using motivational interviewing and cognitive therapy to support your recovery. Clients learn lasting coping sills, how to identify high-risk situations, tips for creating a balanced lifestyle, holistic health practices, methods for addressing relapse warning signs, tips for cultivating caring and lasting relationship, and examples of long-term planning for successful living.

To begin your relationship with Cornerstone Recovery, call us at 952.955.6522, chat with us, or email us to schedule your assessment. You will participate in the Comprehensive Assessment, formerly known as Rule 25, to determine the level of care that will be most beneficial to you. If our program fits your needs, we will begin the Intake. During Intake, you are admitted into the program and placed in the correct level of care. You will also be referred to other services as needed. We work with all types of insurance providers, private pay and public funding options.

Please note: we are available to complete comprehensive assessments for you regardless of the ASAM level of care you require and in order to referral you to another treatment program or recovery community organization.

Assessments at Cornerstone Recovery are comprehensive and may be used for referrals to higher levels of care and other treatment centers as needed.
